Hill Climb, Stoke Holy Cross, 11th Oct
A nice, sunny morning with a breeze to blow the riders up the hill. The event was very well supported with 1 tandem and 35 solo riders. This has become a really good end of season event. Many thanks to Tracey Dean for organising the refreshments and to Jenny and Derek Lusher for help with the time keeping.
Eddie was fastest NABC rider so takes the Club Trophy - well done to him. A fine ride from young David Krumins who continues to improve with every ride. First time rides also for Neil and David, both posting very respectable times.

A nice morning with only a light breeze reflected in some superb times. Tim came 21st overall in only his first 50 and wins the club 50 trophy. This was also Vince’s first 50 - what a first season he has had. Eddie Dean took 1.42 off his previous best and David a whopping 5 mins.

A lovely warm, still morning which saw Dave smash his PB by over 5 minutes and he was agonisingly close to breaking the hour. A superb ride. Vince also had a good ride, again taking a good slice off his PB. Many thanks to Alan Mclaren for all his hard work in organising the event.

The sun shone but a niggly wind made this a tough ride. So, Andy taking 53 secs off his PB was a real achievement. Thanks to Jeremy for organising this event and the GHS East District Championship which was before the main event. 6 schoolboys and 3 school girls rode.

A windy, cool evening so Tim’s time was all the more impressive - he continues on his post exam charge and a 21 is now in sight. Vince also continues to improve in every race he rides - a further 30 secs off his PB. Great to see Rob riding again.
Eddie Fone’s Records
Eddie Fone, our ‘evergreen’ octogenarian, has had some fabulous results so far this season. He recorded a time of 26.35 to take the East District record for an 81 year old. Then on turning 82 he did a 27.24, which is also an age related record. Eddie may have a go for the national record later in the season. Congratulations to Eddie.

The ever young Eddie Fone was a great plus 12.34 for his Standard Time. Eddie Dean did a great ride, taking 2 mins off his PB and came 6th overall.

Tim took over 30 secs from his PB in a stunning ride. We wait with anticipation to see what he will do when his exams are over. Vince continues to go faster and faster - yet another PB and a deserved second prize in the handicap competition. Andy Blackwell also did a great ride slashing 31 secs off his PB and Dick took 9 secs off his PB. Lots of members going faster this year and
the season is still young!

This seemed more like a winter than a spring morning. A biting cold wind hit the riders as they returned from the East Harling turn. Not that this held up Eddie and Tim - fine rides for such a hard day. Vince continues to improve, knocking 30 secs off his PB. Bob, wisely deciding that the wind was too cold and strong, finished for an early cup of tea. Poor David’s race was ended when he came to the rescue of Pat Ellis and Ian Cammish who were involved in a rather nasty crash.

A surprisingly nice morning, given what the forecast had been earlier in the week - warm with a moderate cross wind. What a difference to the arctic like conditions of last year! Both Dick and Vince did personal bests, Vince taking a minute and a half off his.

A strong wind made it tough going on the way out, but provided welcome help on the return leg to Bressingham. Well done to the ‘retro men’ Ed and Brian.

A lovely early spring day but with a 'cheeky' little breeze. Not that this hindered the speedy Mr Moore. Vince also took a massive 7 minutes off his previous best and deservedly was first on handicap with 40.07.
